NEWLatest V4 revision: the newest and best QuinLED Dig-Quad yet
V4 is a completely reworked board with a new DC-DC converter that fixes the 24V issue found on earlier revisions. Here's what's new compared to V3:
- Completely reworked board — V4 revision 1, pre-assembled release 2026-10-31
- New DC-DC converter design — Fixes the 24V issue; the board remains 5V-24V
- New relay port and circuit — vEXT terminal goes from 3-pin to 2-pin (still 5V-24V), replaces the V3's 5th output with a relay channel: load-switch with 5V trigger out (shared with Q1), smaller port with included pigtail cable
- Upgraded main input terminals — Slightly higher rated and colour coded: red = positive, black = negative/GND
- Improved level-shifter circuit — Extra hardware ESD protection, shared resistor-switcher switches
- New I2C port — Stemma QT / JST SH 1.0mm
- Single-board Ethernet — Ethernet board lip points up, no longer a stacked board
- Onboard digital PDM microphone — Included on the ESP32, so every Dig-Quad V4 has a built-in mic
- New GPIO layout — New ESP32 module uses different GPIO pins, see the pinout guide
