QuinLED ProductsQuinLED Known 24V IC Failure Issue

QuinLED Products

QuinLED makes high-quality cutting edge LED controllers and LED products.  Although they are very reliable and robust system things can go wrong.  Not to worry, they have a policy in place to get you the help you need to troubleshoot and if-need-be have the unit replaced.

How do I get warranty on a QuinLED product?

We handle all QuinLED troubleshooting and warranty claims through our Discord support community — it keeps everything (photos, follow-up questions, and the final determination) organized in one place. Here's exactly how it works:

1

2

Find the right channel, create a New Post

In the left sidebar under LEDs, open the quinled-troubleshoot forum channel. Then click on New Post.

3

Create your post

Click New Post, add a clear title and message, attach photos if helpful, then click Post.

Post Guidelines

When opening a troubleshooting topic, please include as much information as you can! Photos of your actual setup (including the bottom of the Dig board, for instance) often tell us a lot already.

Please try to start with the following data:

  • QuinLED board:
  • LEDs used:
  • Number of LEDs:
  • PSU size:

Please don't include personal information (your name, address, phone number, email, order number, etc.) in your Discord post — it's visible to the whole public community. Stick to the products you're using and the issue you're having.

4

Get a determination

A team member will help troubleshoot and let you know if a replacement is needed.

5

Open a Helpdesk ticket

Once you have a determination (or need us looped in privately), open a Jerems Customer Care ticket. Include your name, order number, and optionally the title of your Discord troubleshooting post so we can find it quickly.

Create Helpdesk Ticket

What happens when they determine it's bad hardware?

Use Step 5 to open a Jerems Helpdesk ticket with your order number and Discord post title. Once we see the determination, we will process getting you a replacement unit.

What if I just want to return my products?

No problem, things change and we understand.  We can only accept unused/unopened products.  Just message us or create a help ticket letting us know you order# and a brief description of what you want to return we will get you a return label to send back to us, there is a fixed shipping fee of $10 dollars for returns.  Your refund will be processed as soon as we receive the product and verify it's condition, the refund will go back to your original payment method minus the shipping fees.

QuinLED Known 24V IC Failure Issue

This only applies to Dig-Uno/Quad/Octa brainboards running 24V

Known issue: IC failures at 24V (current revision)

On the current board revision, a specific IC can fail when powered at 24V. Not all boards are affected and the failure rate is low. For this specific failure only, warranty coverage is extended to 1.5 years — standard warranty terms still apply to everything else.

  • If your board has died from this issue: fill in this form and we'll ship a replacement once available.
  • Not sure? Join the Discord and we'll help diagnose it.
  • Board working fine? No action needed — the replacement form is for failed boards only. If you'd like to be proactive, this mitigations & fixes guide covers mitigations you can apply to a running board to reduce the chance of failure.
  • Planning to run at 24V? We recommend waiting for the new revision before buying.
